The
UPR-CHA EXPORT Center held a training institute at the
Condado Plaza Hotel and Casino, San Juan, Puerto Rico
on January 26 and 27, 2006. EXPORT faculty and trainees
had the opportunity to participate in two workshops
designed to enhance their research skills. Dr. Cynthia
Rand, Professor of Medicine and Director of the Johns
Hopkins Center for Adherence Research, presented a wokshop
on Research Methods in Randomized Controlled Clinical
Trials. This activity was followed by a workshop on
Community Based Participatory Research, presented by
Dr. Nina Wallerstein, Professor of Family and Community
Medicine at the University of New Mexico School of Medicine.
